This course concerns the study and practice of delivering an effective, expressive, confident, and clearly communicated speech. Students will write and present their own speech while building strong techniques for speaking in public. The course will also address nerves, and equip the student with tools to calm anxieties associated with public speaking.

This course requires homework to be submitted in the format of large-file videos. Each student will be required to upload videos either to YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox and then share the links with the teacher via the lesson assignments.

Students are required to have an electronic journal that contains all of their notes for every content assignment in the course. There is a required minimum of one paragraph of notes per hour spent on a content assignment. The journal will be submitted in the Lesson Five Quiz when the course is completed.

Each week, students will speak in class on one of the topics under discussion in that lesson. The purpose of this exercise is to get the students to practice the technics and principles learned in the class.

Only enrolled students can view materials.
