This course introduces students to the study of history and ways of investigating the past, as well as to major historical developments of world history from roughly 2000 BC through 1500 AD. We will reflect upon and discuss the limits of historical knowledge, the importance of the study of history, and the challenges involved with understanding and interpreting the past.
Our class will meet from 6 – 10pm Eastern Time on the following dates: 4/8; 4/29; 5/6; 5/13; and 5/20.
