Welcome to our 5-week online course on the Acts of the Apostles and the letters of the Holy Apostle Paul with Fr. Stephen De Young! In this course, we will both study the Apostle Paul’s letters and examine the Book of Acts. We will focus on the narrative of Acts, as it moves from Christ’s Ascension to Pentecost, then follows the early work of the Apostles before coming to focus especially on the work of Paul. As we examine the letters of Paul, we will pay special attention to their historical and cultural background, the theological controversies (e.g. circumcision of gentiles) that often led to them being written, and the problems of interpretation that arise as we interpret these letters today.

We will send out a link a few days before the first class. The class will meet on the following dates at 7pm Eastern: 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, and 4/23.

If you would like to keep up with the course readings, you may access the syllabus by clicking on the “Materials” tab above. We will also post the recordings of the lectures as they become available under the same tab.
