Welcome to our 5-week online course on Hebrews, the Catholic Epistles, and Revelation with Dr. Jordan Henderson! This final course in our series of Biblical Electives will cover the Book of Hebrews, as well as the Catholic Epistles (James, 1-2 Peter, Jude, and 1-3 John). Our study of these documents will be both historical and theological. We will discuss the unique perspectives on important theological topics such as suffering and ministry to the poor which are focused on in these too often-neglected writings of the New Testament. We will finish by examining the genre, message, historical context, and patristic interpretation of the Book of Revelation.

We will send out a link a few days before the first class. The class will meet on the following dates at 7pm Eastern: 5/21, 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, and 6/18.

If you would like to keep up with the course readings, you may access the syllabus by clicking on the “Materials” tab above. We will also post the recordings of the lectures as they become available under the same tab.

Jordan Henderson is the Dean and Lead Biblical Studies Instructor at St. Athanasius College. He holds a Ph.D. in Religions of Western Antiquity from Florida State University.
