This course on spirituality has been developed for the non-Orthodox student as well as the Orthodox Christian seeking a deeper knowledge of their own tradition. Its content is the mixture of a broad survey and some fine detail about spirituality derived from the Latin Apostolic tradition (e.g., Ambrose, Jerome, Augustine, and Pope Gregory I) and lived as Benedictine, Franciscan, Dominican, and Ignatian spirituality. Other forms of spirituality from the Christian West (e.g. Carthusian as well as modern forms) will also be discussed.
